Creating Airtime with World Champion Trainer, Cleve Wells
When a horse is moving sloppy, and lazy with his hocks out behind him, or long strided up front, it is because the horse has no airtime. Some call it lift or self carriage Cleve calls it “airtime”.
According to Cleve, there are 2 places a horse creates his speed, in “airtime” and “ground-time”. In this lesson he is going to cover “airtime”.
“Airtime” is difficult because you have to energize the horse and make him lift off the bottom of his feet and rock him up on his toes and keep things coming up in the air. The exercise you learn in this lesson will help to teach your horse to begin to lift up and carry himself.
